Top location, too bad I was there on a cloudy day; the manager seemed a bit listless to me, but probably because it was the end of the season and there weren't many people. The strudel was delicious, even if a little expensive
Nice mountain refuge, although at an average altitude, you can reach it thanks to a nice hike passing through a beautiful predominantly beech forest.
When you arrive at the refuge, which makes you wait until the last minute, the panorama opens up and allows you to admire the surrounding Dolomites and the woods.
The cuisine is excellent and plentiful with a good mountain menu.

no frills but who take an interest in guests especially if engaged in alpine climbs.
We stayed one night at Rif.Maniago and then headed towards Duranno the next day. Beautiful mountain refuge, I say refuge, because for those who want a four-star hotel this is rightly not the right place. We often forget what altitude we are at and the difficulties that those who manage it encounter even in the things that seem most banal to us. kind and helpful managers, not in all refuges you can find breakfast from six, excellent minestrone and stellar frico, to return to this true mountain refuge where you don't find sautéed mussels but a few simple and genuine dishes!
Nice refuge, path with some steep sections but overall easy

Yesterday we were at the refuge and Celestina and Toni welcomed us with cordiality and refreshed us with an excellent pasta with meat sauce and a super strudel... all homemade.
We will definitely return for the friendliness, the good food and the excellent cakes... for a night under the stars.
A beautiful walk immersed in the peace that only the mountains can transmit.
Cozy refuge with home cooking and for those with a sweet tooth... an exceptional homemade strudel!
